Hi there! My name is Melanie Joy Adams, and my purpose is to liberate others from physical and emotional suffering to offer a yoga experience that creates friendships through a connected community atmosphere, empowering others to live with intention. I have been teaching yoga in central Massachusetts for two and a half years for studios, wellness centers, on-campus organizations, pop-up events, and online. I am currently a junior at Clark University, studying Psychology, Management, and Entrepreneurship. Although I practice and teach many types of yoga, I specialize in teaching Vinyasa yoga.

In January 2020, I launched Empower Yoga Project in order to bring accessible movement and mindfulness education to others who might otherwise not be able to practice yoga. My venture was awarded the LEEP Fellowship in the Spring of 2020, and I used this funding to earn my certification in the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method. Now, I offer a wide range of services, including group classes on campus, private lessons, chakra workshops, blacklight yoga, and online yoga classes.

As the president of Clark Yoga, I have led free classes on campus since August 2018, my first week of college. These experiences have expanded my skill set as a yoga teacher as I have adapted to a changing industry and tailored my yoga offerings to best serve the needs of my students.

Happy Moments...
